As a yoga teacher and retreat leader, I have come to the conclusion that for most of us, the easiest, quickest route to getting out of our heads and dropping into our hearts is NOT sitting for hours in meditation, it’s through the body. And yet many of us feel disconnected from our bodies and assume that meditation is the cure all. But in fact, coming to meditate in a stressful state doesn't do much to shift your energy and may have the opposite effect. . .
The body is the gateway to internal space. Move the body, calm the mind, touch your spirit. First we move, then we meditate. When you are in an aligned, spacious state, you can do anything! The Universe will pour itself out to you and you will be magnetic.

Hi, I'm Alyssa, a yoga instructor who believes that movement is medicine and that the body is the easiest, quickest route for most of us to find the internal space we crave in our busy lives (I also hate the word busy). I teach spaciousness as an embodied lifestyle and believe that we women are craving to be fully expressed and confident in ourselves. Less doing, more being.
